The Atlanta Thrashers and Colby Armstrong elected to go to salary arbitration. All cases will be heard between July 20 and August 4. Both sides can agree on the judge's result and sign a contract or disagree making the player (Colby) a unrestricted free agent.
82 GP - 22 G - 18 A - 40 PTS - 75 Mins while making $1.2 Million last season.
The Penguins have no one listed, all teams have to 5 pm today.

yes... I saw that. He is going to ensure the Thrashers have to pay him big bucks... if they don't come to an agreement... i think there is a large likelyhood that could come back to the burgh.

Like I have said before, I want him to come back so bad. He is a great and entertaining player and one of the most loved players in Pittsburgh. No one hates Colby.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that he is back in Black and Gold this season.

The problem would be the money. The pens are very close to the cap.

I would love to see Colby back with the Pens, but agree with joshsec14, I just don't see it happening. The Pens are about $3.8 million under the cap and Colby may get $2.5 to $3 million from the arbitratior. Plus the reports indicate that Atlanta wants him back and has some cap room to do so.
on other Colby news, he got married on June 20

on other Colby news, he got married on June 20 Really? I know that in an interview (when he was still with us) he said he was dating a girl from Wilkes-Barre. So he got married to her (or another girl), eh? Good for him! Yeah, you guys are probably right. He may not be back with us. I can still hope though!

yeah... that is why Sid wasn't at the NHL awards. He was Colby's best man.

It's not that I don't believe you guys, but I took the liberty of looking up about his marriage on Google just because I wanted to see where you heard it from (I am not a stocker....just to clear things up). www.celebritybrideguide.com/colby-armstrong-gets-married/ According to this website I found on Google, his brother was his best man and Sid was just in attendance. Not that it matters...just saying.

Trust me, I am not a stalker. (I am not like some of those girls out there who only watch the sport because they want to chase after the guys.)
Whenever I hear about something and I want to know if it is true or where the other person heard it from, I look it up. I am a really curious person but not a stalker.
