I think the east is going to be the easiest. I truly do believe that this is our best chance to win the division.

Most definately, Trenton is the wildcard maybe, there affiliate signed Gerald Coleman, Reading and Elmira will also put up a great fight.

Elmira lost more talent than any other team in the division as well as the north. They got some goal scoring in Chanse Fitzpatrick but they lost leadership and offense in Doucet, Faubert, McIlveen, Yetman and they could lose Sgroi as well. Reading will be better. I think that Coleman will be in Lowell alot this season. Trenton will be good but in the end the Chiefs will prevail as the top dog.

Fitzpatrick will provide a lot of scoring, provided he doesn't bolt to Europe. It's Elmira I wouldn't be surprised. Trenton is interesting, Jeff Prough and Gerald Coleman are signed with New Jersey. Probably will see time in Trenton but mostly in Lowell. Expect some ofthe usual guys to return like Eric Castonguay, Jim Henkel, Trevor Kell and Matt Radoslovich. Jeff Lerg will provide bakup to Coleman possibly. Kyle Kucharski will be on the roster. Reading signed some big name players like Olivier LaBelle and Danick Bouchard. If they can turn around like Wheeling did this year then they are the team to watch. I agree Josh, Elmira lost a lot, If I was a fan, (I HATE ELMIRA), Faubert was the biggest loss of the year, Doucet didn;t have a strong year last year, McIlveen is a diamond in the orugh and an impact player who can score, Yetman according to Martinson was "old". Enforcers Kaleb Betts and Bruce Watson have moved on. They have signed along with Fitzpatrick, J.F. David, who is a PP specialist, Matt Dias who played for Wheeling in the 2007-2008 season, Travis Gawryletz, who was Elmira's defensive player of the year, Brendan Connolly who should be a good player this year, Nino Musitelli, former leading scorer of the Dayton Bombers and Ryan McDonald, a WHL standout. Also, Josh Aspenlind is probably not returning and Nathan Lutz is gone as is Tyler Donati. Most likely to return are (according to Martinson) are Chris Korchinski, Wes Cunningham, Craig Switzer and Colton Yellow Horn. They are in talks with Mike Sgroi, I hope he isn't in the league next year, but it is very fun booing him.. I'll have more info on all the teams in September when I post my 2009-2010 season Preview.

Most of the times it takes until Thanksgiving to really know what teams are going to be like. Then call ups and injuries always have a major impact on teams in the second half and playoffs. In summary it is any body's guess on how the final standings will shakeout.

I like putting stuff like this together. I enjoy writeing and knowing stats and an opposing teams players. I'm ECHL.com all most everyday during the season fnding out where players go or if they are on a hot streak or cold streak or if they get called up to the A.
