Delweld defeats Berkley Hills 6-2 in the first game. I only stayed for half of the second, with Martella's leading Principle 4-2 in the bottom of the 6th. Principle scored twice in the top of the 1st. Scored on a 2-out double to center with the based loaded. Bandzuh followed up in the bottom of the inning with 3-up 3-down. In the second, Martella's pitcher (sorry, I have no idea on the names of any of these guys) threw lots of balls, but managed a quick inning, ending with a strike out. Bandzuh gave up some long balls, but they found gloves out in the field. A poor base running decision from Martella's lead Principle double-up to end the inning. In the third, 2-on and 2-out for Principle, but no repeat of the first as they strand them both. Bandzuh started to look shaky in the bottom of the inning. He walked the based loaded twice, and Martella's scored on a double off the screen to tie the game. Martella's added 2 more in the 4th to take the lead as Bandzuh lost control. Meanwhile, Martella's pitching was starting to take control, totally reversing the start of the game. That's all I've got. You'll have to read Mastovich tomorrow for the rest of the story Brian_V

Martella's beat Principle 15-5 in 8 innings today.
Some quick notes on todays game: Martella's hit a grand slam in the top of the first. In the 7th, Principle walked pretty much everyone, allowing Martella's to score 8 runs. They would have gone by the mercy rule in the 7th, but then Principle scored some runs to stay alive.
